Precautions | Causes |
-Wash your hand with disinfected water and soap to prevent the spreading of disease. | All of these precautions are caused by hurricanes. They occur because the hurricane breaks everything and things that get in the water were contaminated already. This is why the water is contaminated. If you drink the water or get infected by it, it might be life threatening. |
- Water can be stored in bottles for up to 6 months if stored properly. | |
- If you don�t think the water is clean, disinfect it anyway just to make sure. | |
- Use disinfected or bottled water to brush your teeth and to give to pets. | |
- Use water from the bathtub or pool to flush the toilet. Don�t use this water to cook with. | |
- Bathing with tap water is fine, but don�t let it get into your eyes, mouth, or any important parts of your body. | |
- Always use clean containers to store bottles. | |
- Don�t drink water from wells or any other types of water sources. |
